Isabela-Cagayan power line energized
BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines — The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) has energized the Isabela-Cagayan 230-kiloVolt (kV) line.
Lilibeth Gaydowen, NGCP spokesperson for Northern Luzon, said the 118 circuit-kilometer line and 335 towers from Santiago, Isabela to Tuguegarao, Cagayan was energized on Sept. 15.
The P946.48-million power line is part of the P3 billion energization project of the NGCP in Cagayan Valley.
The 230-kV Tuguegarao-Lallo line is NGCP’s other major project in northern Luzon.
The project is expected to benefit not only provinces in Cagayan Valley, but also Kalinga and Apayao. It is targeted for completion next year.
