Disc jockey slain by robbers

CEBU CITY, Philippines — A disc jockey was allegedly killed by robbers who entered her house in Sitio Nivel Hills, Barangay Lahug in this city at dawn yesterday.

The body of Marie Alexie Bolongaita, 29, which bore two gunshot wounds in the chest, was discovered at around 6 a. m.

The alleged assailant, Reynante Mambiar, 36, a resident of Salinas Drive, was arrested while being treated at a medical facility for hack wounds that he reportedly sustained when Bolongaita resisted his attack.

Police said they would conduct an autopsy to determine if the victim was raped.
