2 carjacking suspects shot dead

BACOLOD CITY , Philippines  – Two suspected carjackers were killed in a shootout with police operatives in this city on Monday, police said.

Mark John Fabila and JR Cruz reportedly fired at lawmen who responded to reports that a vehicle was being dismantled in an abandoned residential compound in Barangay Taculing.

A wallet containing several identification cards, a .38-caliber revolver, an improvised pen gun, ammunition and assorted mechanical tools were recovered from the fatalities, police said.
