Motorbike hits bus, caretela; 1 dead

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines – An architect died in a road accident in Barangay Gosi Sur in this city yesterday.

Noriel Christian Parallag was driving his motorcycle when it collided with the carabao-drawn cart of Lorenzo Canayan, 40, and then rammed into a GV Florida bus in the opposite direction at around 5 a.m.

The bus burst into flames when it collided with the motorcycle. 

Parallag died while being treated at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center, where Canayan was also taken for treatment.

The passengers managed to get out of the bus before it caught fire.

The bus driver, Walter Paule, 44, was arrested.
