4 drug suspects slain

MANILA, Philippines - Three more drug suspects were killed in police operations while another was gunned down by unidentified men in Luzon on Monday.

Raul Alfonso, alias Bilog, and a certain Kalbo allegedly drew their guns when they sensed they had sold shabu to undercover agents in Barangay Sto. Domingo in Cainta, Rizal.

The fatalities yielded sachets of shabu, marked money and guns, police said.

In Isabela, drug surrenderee Ritchell San Jose, 40, was in a tricycle with two other men in Barangay Darangutan West, San Mariano when motorcycle-riding men told them to pull over and shot him several times. His companions were unhurt.

Hurt in gun attack

Ricky Ines, 42, was driving his motorcycle when two men on another motorbike opened fire along the highway in Barangay Lacuben, Badoc, Ilocos Norte. He remained confined in a hospital yesterday.

Police said the victim is not on their drug watchlist.

P1.4-M shabu seized

Meanwhile, in Butuan, 120 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P1.4 million were allegedly recovered from Arman Pinto, 37, who was collared for selling a sachet of shabu to a policeman who posed as a buyer at a bus terminal in Langihan district. 

Nine other suspected drug pushers were nabbed in San Jose del Monte, San Rafael, Balagtas and Guiguinto, Bulacan; six in Bangued, Abra; five in the cities of Angeles, Olongapo and Tarlac; two in Naga, Camarines Sur  and one each in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur and Carmen, Agusan del Norte.

Sachets of shabu and marked money were recovered from the suspects,  police said. – Non Alquitran, Ramon Efren Lazaro, Ric Sapnu, Raymund Catindig, Ben Serrano, Artemio Dumlao, Ed Amoroso, Francis Elevado
