Skyway beam tumbles, paralyzes traffic in Makati
MANILA, Philippines — Heavy traffic greeted commuters on Tuesday morning after a beam of Skyway O&M Corporation collapsed at the Buendia area of Osmeña Highway in Makati City.
Both lanes were closed as the coping beam of the elevated expressway blocked the highway around 10 a.m.
Five people were hurt, while a black Toyota Avanza was also affected of the incident.

Affected motorists were diverted to Roxas Boulevard.
The roadwork is part of the P26.67-billion Skyway stage 3 which stretches 14.82 kilometers from Buendia, Makati City to Balintawak, Quezon City. — with reports from TV5
