Reward up for arrest of Bulacan family killers
SAN JOSE DEL MONTE , Philippines – Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado has raised to P200,000 the reward for information leading to the arrest of those behind the killing of a family of five in this city on Tuesday.
San Jose del Monte Mayor Arthur Robes earlier offered a reward of P100,000.
The bodies of Auring Dizon, 58; her daughter Estrella Carlos, 35, and her grandchildren Donny 11; Ella, 7, and Dexter Jr., 1, which bore multiple stab wounds, were found at their house at North Ridge Royal Subdivision in Barangay Sto. Cristo.
Dizon, who was reportedly blind, and Carlos were also believed raped.
Dexter, the husband of Carlos, found the bodies of the victims when he arrived from his night duty as security guard at around 8:45 a.m.
Robes said those who have information relevant to the killings could contact the police through mobile number 0995 3082482.
He said the immediate family of the victims are entitled to an assistance of P25,000 from the city government. He said he also gave money to Dexter from his personal funds.
The members of a task force created to probe the killings are still clueless on the identities of the killers and their motives.
