4 die of drowning

MANILA, Philippines - Four persons have drowned in separate incidents in Aklan and Pangasinan.

Chinese woman Huang Xia, 43, was swimming with her daughter at the Fairways and Blue Waters Resort in Sitio Candingun, Barangay Yapak on Boracay island on Monday when the accident occurred.

Jayve Bolivar, 23, and Renebee Nabuab, 13, both residents of Sitio Punta, Barangay Mambuquiao in Batan town, were swept away by the strong current while  swimming on a beach in the same barangay also on Monday. Their companions Renz Nabuab, 12, and Reniel Bolivar, 7, were rescued.

Roger Dacumos was found floating in Cayanga River in San Fabian, Pangasinan yesterday. Prior to the incident, the victim reportedly had a drinking spree with his classmates.
