Woman, 70, kills sister, 60

BAGUIO CITY , Philippines– A woman was allegedly hacked to death by her sister at their house in Barangay Alinaya, Pidigan, Abra yesterday. 

Responding policemen found the body of Rosita Bandiez, 60, at the dining room at around 1:20 a.m.

Initial investigation showed Gertrudiz Elpa, 70, hacked her sister using a bolo for no apparent reason while they were watching television with the victim’s 12-year-old adopted daughter.  

Elpa is being held at a police station.
