Burger downs 30 students

CALASIAO, Pangasinan, Philippines  – At least 30 students of the Nalsian-Bacayao Elementary School in this town were hospitalized after eating hamburger on Thursday.

Provincial health officer Ana de Guzman said 22 of the victims remained confined at the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital in San Carlos City yesterday.

De Guzman said the victims, aged 9 to 12 years, suffered stomachache, vomiting and nausea.

The victims reportedly bought the burger, which was made of ground chicken intestine and liver, from an ambulant vendor. Food samples were sent to the Food and Drugs Administration in La Union for analysis.
