Woman, daughter hit by lightning

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan , Philippines  – A woman and her daughter were seriously injured after they were hit by lightning in Sitio Baacan, Barangay Francisco in Dingras, Ilocos Norte on Tuesday.  

Love Joy Balendia, 28, was driving her motorcycle with  Cailei, 5, on their way to the Francisco Elementary School at around 1 p.m. when the accident occurred.

The victims were taken to the Dingras District Hospital, but transferred to Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Batac City due to the severity of their injuries.
