1 dead, 8 hurt in SCTEX mishap
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – A man died and eight others were injured in a multi-vehicle collision along the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) over the weekend.
In his report, Senior Superintendent Ritchie Posadas, Tarlac police acting director, identified the fatality as Eduardo Milabo, a resident of Barangay Barangka in Marikina City.
The injured, including a security guard at SCTEX, were taken to various hospitals for treatment.
The report said an Isuzu truck driven by Michael Bugarin and an Isuzu Mu-X driven by Lacson Cua that were parked at the shoulder of the expressway after encountering a mechanical problem were hit by a Mitsubishi Canter (WJN-245) driven by Frederick Villafana, 40.
A Chevrolet Trailblazer hit the light truck while another truck hit the sport utility vehicle.
