Evelyn Macairan - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The number of fatalities from a motorized boat that capsized off Romblon on Friday has risen to seven. Three others were reported missing.

Cmdr.  Armand Balilo, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) spokesman, said the bodies of two other fatalities were recovered and another passenger was rescued yesterday morning.

The PCG said 45 passengers and six crewmembers had been accounted for.

Authorities said one of the fatalities and five of those rescued were not on the passenger manifest.

The Alad Express 2 capsized after it was hit by a whirlwind less than two hours after it left Sibuyan island.
