Rape suspect shot dead

MANGALDAN, Pangasinan, Philippines – A man accused of rape was gunned down in Barangay Lanas in this town on Sunday.

John Senin, 50, was driving his motorcycle on his way home when unidentified men on another motorbike opened fire. A piece of paper that read, “Rapist kasi ako kaya ganito napala ko (This happened to me because I’m a rapist),” was left near his body.

Police said the victim was charged with statutory rape before the Dagupan City prosecutor’s office last week.
