Cotabato City curfew now covers adults
MANILA, Philippines - The city government of Cotabato has expanded the coverage of the curfew hours that it has been implementing to protect its 37 barangays from extremist groups.
Adults are now covered by the 10:30 p.m. curfew initially intended for minors, according to city chief information officer Halima Satol-Ibrahim.
“This is to ensure the safety of the Muslim, Christian and lumad communities in the city,” Satol-Ibrahim told The STAR yesterday.
A day after the Maute group attacked Marawi City, the city government of Cotabato implemented a “no entry” policy for outsiders who have no identification cards.
