1 dead, 2 hurt as riprap collapses in Baguio

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan , Philippines  – A woman died when the riprap of a construction site collapsed and buried her house in Barangay Kias, Baguio City on Wednesday. 

Jemma de Jesus died at the scene. Her son Nathaniel, 1, and niece Lenary, 11, were injured and taken to the Baguio City General Hospital and Medical Center.

Authorities said the riprap eroded due to heavy rains since Tuesday.
