Carpenter, wife electrocuted

ILOILO CITY, Philippines – A carpenter and his wife died of electrocution in Antique on Monday, police said yesterday.

Panny Estrada, 59, was connecting an electrical wire from his home to the house of his brother in Barangay San Roque in Anini-y town when he accidentally touched a live wire. His wife Flora, 51, tried to pull him away, but she was also electrocuted.

The victims were declared dead on arrival at the President Diosdado Macapagal District Hospital.
