What Nico Bolzico hides from Solenn Heussaff
MANILA, Philippines — Argentinean model and businessman Nico Bolzico has been keeping something from his wife, actress and TV host Solenn Heussaff, and he was keen into keeping it a secret — until now.
After much badgering, Nico finally disclosed to Philstar.com that Solenn does not know he uses her creams and other personal things. Yes, including her toothbrush.
“We share toothbrush. Actually, I steal hers,” he confided.
“Does she know that?” Philstar.com asked.
“Now, she will! I don’t know how we’re going to make this interview,” Nico quipped.
“We share the bed, of course. Sometimes, she kicks me out!” he recalled of other things that they share together.
Nico said his wife uses about 12 products for a beauty regimen. “She has a whole process and method that if I interrupt that, I might be kicked out of the house,” he joked.
One time, he got curious about the creams Solenn uses and tried them for himself. He then noticed his skin getting better after tinkering with his wife’s goods. Thus, this year, among his resolutions is to take care more of his skin.
To complement his healthy lifestyle of mostly raw food and football, Nico is into plant-based grooming products such as Kiehl’s new Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil, a lightweight, deep-cleansing oil that claims to get rid of skin impurities with a swipe; and Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream, an east-meets-west moisturizer made out of the combination of New Zealand Manuka Honey and Korean Red Ginseng Root - two coveted beauty ingredients that increase the skin’s glow and radiance while helping it recover from skin damage.
But Nico is not the only one who sneaks at Solenn’s things. He also found out that his so-called “wifezilla” is also into his T-shirts and underwear, which Solenn sometimes wears to sleep.

According to Nico, he is still “pretty new” to endorsements. “I don’t accept anything I don’t really believe in. I just accept anything that I can really use or start using.”
He is still not into showbiz, either. “With all these social media and ways of connecting with people, it’s easier to get out there. I think people enjoy the videos I make of her (Solenn), but it’s always about her, nothing about me,” he said of his “wifezilla” videos that score thousands of likes and comments from his over 257,000 Instagram followers.
“It’s amazing!” he said of their married life. The two will celebrate their first wedding anniversary in two months.
“We thought that if we get married, it’s going to be the same because we’re already living together, but you really feel like it’s the next step in the relationship. Now that we’re legally married, we better stay together. It’s really nice! There’s a change, I don’t know what, but there is really a change when you get married.”
What does he love most about Solenn?
“I love how real she is. When you guys interview her, when I see her on TV, when I speak to her in different aspects of her life, she’s the same outside as she is at home. It’s not like when I see her on TV, she’s a different person. What you see is what you get. That’s what I love about her, and she’s super loving and caring.”
He also likes that Solenn is so fit. “We push each other into fitness. I think we’re the fittest ever in our lives at this age and a lot of it is because we support each other and motivate each other to go to the gym.”

What is their secret for successful #RelationshipGoals?
“It’s difficult to give an advice because each couple is its own, each person is different. One advice is actually one that Solenn always gives, and that is don’t force anything. Be yourself. Don’t try to change yourself for someone else. If a person doesn’t love you for who you and what you do, then that person is not for you…It’s not only trust that’s important, but both of you should make an effort to make the relationship successful. It’s a joint effort.”
The pair plans to have at least two to three children. Nico hopes to have a boy that he can ride horses and play football and polo with.
“Not very soon. We just got married. We try to enjoy a little bit more of each other, know each other’s lives, and be able to travel a bit more. Also, this year, she’s got a lot of exciting projects and it’s not the right time. Because we’re still young, still healthy, we can wait. If not this year, next year, maybe,” he said of their plan to have a baby soon.
Since getting hitched, the celebrity couple has been facing the same challenges as before, particularly, their difficulty to meet due to busy schedules.
“Sometimes, it’s difficult to find time to be with each other, so when we have free time, we make sure to spend some time together. When she’s free, she calls me for a coffee. We try to date. We date a lot,” assured Bolzico.
They date, he said, by usually going to the restaurant or cooking at home and making Solenn annoyed at him.

“We enjoy a lot of movie nights. We like completely different movies, so we give and take. One time, I will choose what movie to watch, the next time, she chooses. I don’t think we’re always happy, but at least, one of us is happy with the movie we shared together.”
Nico said they are “not much of a Valentine couple” even though they grace the love month cover of a local magazine. “If you know Solenn, she’s not a flower or chocolate kind of girl. She’s very tough,” he pointed out.
He, nevertheless, recalled the most memorable Valentine’s Day date they had.
“My most memorable Valentine’s with her was the first time I surprised her. It was our first Valentine’s. It was one night when she was working very late, coming from a movie shoot. When she came in, there’s a huge bear waiting for her. She doesn’t like teddy bears, by the way. I didn’t know by then. But there’s a huge bear at the door so when she arrives, she can hug someone. I was waiting behind the door. I didn’t have dinner until three a.m. I waited for her to come. And I cooked! Usually, she’s the only one cooking, but I cooked this time.”
“Now, I understand why she married you!” this writer said after hearing Nico’s story, to which he quipped: “Thank you very much, one person who understands!”
Since then, it has been a habit for him to surprise his lady love every Valentine’s. “The most important thing is that we’re going to be together. I hope she’ll get surprised,” he said of his Valentine’s plans, which, unlike the toothbrush thing, he chose not to reveal.
