Value condotel business underway; Gaisano Grand realty arm expands project portfolio

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu-based real estate developer Grand Land Inc., announced its formal entry to the value condotel business to take advantage of the rising demand for more accommodation facilities in Cebu.

"We wanted to come up with products that will support the robust tourism sector," said Grand Land Inc., vice president Khristina Pestaño in an interview yesterday.

This after the company’s successful partnership with Dusit International that gave fruition to the 295-room Dusit Princess and the 165-unit Dusit D2 serviced apartments. Both projects are located in Cebu.         

Pestaño said aside from the residential and commercial projects lined up for Cebu and other key cities, the company also aims to provide value-hotel facilities considering the country’s huge tourism potential.

However, the company stopped short of revealing further details about the nationwide rollout as it is still currently in talks with an international hotel management chain before pursuing the project.

Meanwhile, aside from its aggressive expansion plan in Cebu, Grand Land Inc., will soon officially announce its entry to the Durian Capital –Davao City.

Grand Land will build its first out-of-Cebu project and a maiden project in Davao, called Amani Grand City Gates.

In an earlier interview with Grand Land Inc. president Ryan Bernard Go, he said the company has sizeable land-bank within the province owned by its mother company Gaisano Grand Group, that are more suited for tourism-related investments.

Moreover, Go said the company is set to embark on another multi-billion projects to support Cebu tourism at the same time maximize its existing idle properties located in the coastal towns of northern and southern Cebu.

Grand Land is serious in expanding its tourism development portfolio, seeing the overflowing business opportunities in tourism, Go added.

Grand Land is the residential property development arm of the Gaisano Grand Group founded Benito Sy Gaisano, of the Gaisano Grand Group.

Since 2012 Grand Land has been developing projects mostly in Cebu, these are, the Grand Residences Cebu East Tower A & B; Grand Residences Cebu North Tower A; Amani Grand-Mactan; City Homes in Mactan, Mandaue and Minglanilla, as well as City Homes Premiere in Mandaue City. (FREEMAN)
