La Union centenarians get P100K

SAN FERNANDO CITY, Philippines – The city government here gave a cash gift of P100,000 each to four centenarians yesterday. 

The centenarians were identified as Anacleto Padua, a resident of Barangay Tanqui;  Gervacio Tadifa of Dallangayan Oeste, Maria Rivera of Camansi and Eufemia Tejano of Santiago Norte.   

Mayor Herminildo Gualberto, who led the awarding of cash gifts, said centenarians serve as models, especially to the young generation.
