Mild quakes hit Samar
MANILA, Philippines - Three mild earthquakes hit Samar provinces yesterday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
State seismologists said a magnitude 2.3 quake was recorded at 10 kilometers northwest of Lope de Vega, Northern Samar at around 10:05 a.m.
Quakes with magnitudes of 3.4 and 2.7 were recorded off the coast of Tagapul-an, Western Samar at around 11:18 a.m. and northeast of Tagapul-an at 11:46 a.m., respectively.
Phivolcs said no damage was reported following the quakes.
