2 shot dead in Batangas

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Philippines – Two men were killed in separate shooting incidents in Batangas yesterday.

Marlou Aldovino was driving a passenger jeepney when motorcycle-riding men fired at him along J.P. Rizal street in Barangay Poblacion 2 in Bauan town at around 6:10 a.m.

Passenger Ronald Vevas was wounded and taken to Bauan General Hospital, where Aldovino was pronounced dead on arrival.

Sonny Bucad was shot dead in Barangay Talisay, Lipa City shortly after midnight. He was declared dead on arrival at the Metro Lipa Hospital.

The identities of the assailants and their motives have yet to be determined.
