CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – Two suspected drug traffickers were killed in an alleged shootout with police officers in Sta. Maria, Bulacan before dawn yesterday.

Marvin Lester and Carl Pingol allegedly resisted arrest after selling a plastic sachet said to contain shabu to Police Officer 1 Addeo Berges.

Berges was among a group of police officers who conducted a sting at the house of one of the suspects in Barangay Caysio, according to Bulacan police acting director Senior Superintendent Romeo Caramat.

The suspects allegedly drew their firearms and shot at the lawmen, triggering a firefight.

Probers recovered from the suspects a shotgun, a .22 caliber revolver, a plastic sachet containing shabu and drug paraphernalia.
