Magnitude 4.6 quake hits Mindoro, rocks Manila
MANILA, Philippines — State seismology bureau Phivolcs reported on Wednesday morning a magnitude 4.6 earthquake in Occidental Mindoro which was also felt in Manila.
The center of tectonic quake was located 10 kilometers northwest of Abra de Ilog town in Mindoro hit at 9:39 a.m. It was estimated with a depth of 107 kilometers.
The ground shaking was felt at Intensity II in Calatagan and Nasugbu, Batangas as well as tourist destination Puerto Galera in neighboring Oriental Mindoro.
A reported Intensity II was also experienced in Pasay City, Malate and Sampaloc in Manila, the agency said in an advisory.
No aftershocks are expected, and no damage was also reported as of posting time.
Reports of the earthquake appeared on social media past 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
