Actress Krista Miller nabbed in QCPD drug op

MANILA, Philippines —  Another celebrity was apprehended in a buy-bust operation as part of government's drive against illegal drugs.

The Quezon City Police District presented to the public on Monday actress Kristalyn Engle — known in the showbiz industry as Krista Miller — along with three other suspects identified as Liaa Bolla, Jeramie Padolina and Aaron Medina.

Last week, former sexy star Karen Pallasigue, also known as Sabrina M, was caught in a anti-illegal drug operation of the QCPD.

Miller made headlines in 2014 after visiting convicted drug lord Ricardo “Chacha” Camata in a hospital, along with two TV dancers. Miller explained that she went to Camata to sell him a condominium unit as she used to be a real estate agent.

President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to again name drug lords and coddlers in his infamous "narco list" which includes TV personalities. He has said the list is still undergoing validation.

Philippine National Police Chief Ronald Dela Rosa said earlier that they will conduct "Oplan Tokhang" in TV networks and in showbiz personalities' homes as the government's anti-narcotics drive moves to the entertainment industry. — AJ Bolando
