Soldier nabbed for stealing, selling bullets

DAVAO CITY, Philippines – An Army soldier was arrested for selling bullets he allegedly stole from a military training camp in Mawab, Compostela Valley on Friday.

Sgt. Jeffrey Ordoño, training officer of the Army’s 10th Infantry Division (ID), allegedly took at least 1,000 bullets before he was arrested.

The 10th ID said Ordoño sold the bullets to civilians. He is undergoing investigation at the 10th ID.

Charges for violating the Articles of War on “waste and unlawful disposition of military property” may be filed against Ordoño.
