GENERAL SANTOS CITY, Philippines — Anti-narcotics agents on Thursday arrested three more wanted large-scale drug traffickers in separate operations here and in Koronadal City.

Maria Fideliz Herrera, who ranked sixth on the list of ten most wanted drug dealers in Koronadal City, and an accomplice, Louie Valmores, were nabbed in a dragnet by policemen and barangay officials disguised as drug dependents.

The duo did not resist arrest when they were frisked while selling methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, to undercover agents at the hideout in Koronadal City.

Personnel of the Koronadal City police had arrested more than 30 drug traffickers in continuing crackdown launched after President Rodrigo Duterte assumed the presidency on June 30.

Police Superintendent Romeo Galgo Jr., information officer of the Police Regional Office 12, said agents had also arrested Rolando Codenera, long wanted for drug offenses and illegal possession of firearms.

Codenera was cornered by members of the Police Station 7 of General Santos City in his hideout with the help of neighbors.

He voluntarily yielded to the police operatives who raided his lair when they showed him two arrest warrants issued by Judge Oscar Noel Jr. of the Regional Trial Court in General Santos City.

More than a dozen drug peddlers were arrested by personnel of the General Santos City police in one operation after another in the past two weeks.
