MANILA, Philippines -- An alleged drug pusher was shot dead by unidentified men in Pasig City while an alleged drug user was injured after being shot by unidentified men in San Juan City on Tuesday.

Pasig police said Eduardo Francisco, alias “Bimbo,” a resident of Catoc Compound in Barangay Rosario, was walking along Estella Maris St. in Barangay Maybunga at about 11:30 p.m. when two attackers riding tandem on a motorcycle appeared.

The killers, police said, then drew out handguns and opened fire at the victim. Francisco was rushed to the Rizal Medical Center but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Crime scene investigators recovered seven spent shells and one deformed slug fired from a gun of yet undetermined caliber at the scene.

Meanwhile, in San Juan City, Rafael Tutanes, 24, was walking along Panganiban St. in Barangay Onse at about 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday when two men on a motorcycle rode up and opened fire.

Police said Tutanes, who was facing a case for illegal drugs use, sustained gunshot wounds in the arms. He was rushed to the St. Martin de Porres hospital.

The San Juan Police has launched a hunt for the shooters who fled on the motorcycle, which had no license plates.
