6 most wanted drug traffickers in South Cotabato arrested

KORONADAL CITY — Lawmen on Thursday broke the backbone of the biggest drug ring in South Cotabato with the arrest of six traffickers circulating some P10 million worth of shabu in the province monthly.
The suspects, Randy Calsenia, Joey Baulete, Froilan dela Cruz, Randy Mariveles and Alfredo Tayzon, were arrested one after another in separate operations in different towns in South Cotabato.
Calsenia, Mariveles, Baulete and Dela Cruz were arrested by policemen led by Senior Inspector Bernie Paldas in their hideout in the town of Santo Niño, South Cotabato.
Mariveles was cornered several hours later by police agents in Banga town also in South Cotabato.
The arrest of Mariveles came after Tayzon was nabbed by policemen in the town center of Surallah, South Cotabato.
The six suspects were listed in the top ten most wanted drug traffickers in the province.
Police officials in the province told reporters that informants, among them barangay leaders, helped locate the suspects.
