NPA ‘investigating’ kidnapped PNP men

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – The New People’s Army said it is “investigating” two of the four Philippine National Police personnel they seized in Malimono, Surigao del Norte on Sunday for various crimes.

In a press statement, a certain Ka Otto claimed Police Officer 2 Caleb Senaca was accused of involvement in illegal drugs and abuse of civilians while PO2 Jayroll Bagayas is an alleged protector of illegal loggers.

Senaca and Bagayas along with PO3 Santiago Lamanilao and non-uniformed personnel Rodrigo Angub  had just left a cockpit in Barangay Cagtinae when they were taken.
