2 suspected drug pushers shot dead in Mandaluyong, Pasay

MANILA, Philippines - Two suspected drug pushers were shot dead in Mandaluyong and Pasay Cities Saturday while another suspected pusher was shot and injured in Pasay City.

According to the Mandaluyong City Police, Jesus Ecleo, a resident of Calbayog Street, Barangay Highway Hills was shot dead by police officers at about 1:17 a.m. along Calbayog Street.

Police said Ecleo who was the subject of a buy-bust operation, was shot by the police officers when he allegedly resisted arrest.

In Pasay City, alleged drug pusher Ryan Alfred Esquivel, 33, was shot several times by two unidentified men riding tandem on a motorcycle at about 12:55 a.m.

Police said Esquivel was walking along Leveriza Street at Barangay 21 when the suspects appeared and opened fire. He was rushed to the Adventist Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival.

A search of the victim’s body led to the discovery of one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu in his underwear.

At about 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Michael Siaron, 30, was walking along EDSA near the Rotonda in Pasay City when he was also shot by two unidentified men riding tandem on a motorcycle.

Police said Siaron, allegedly a drug pusher, sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the body.

The suspects who were both wearing full-face helmets, sped away towards EDSA after the shooting. Police said the suspects also dropped a note near Siaron’s body. The note read: “Pusher ako, wag tularan.”
