Roel Pareño - The Philippine Star

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – Four suspected Abu Sayyaf bandits were arrested while three speedboats were seized in separate operations on Thursday.

The speedboats known as jungkong were seized off Panguan Island in Sitangki town at around 10 a.m. by operatives of Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi (JTFT).

Three bandits were arrested during a raid on a suspected Abu Sayyaf hideout, where a shotgun and ammunition were also seized.

The JTFT is investigating if the seized jungkong and the three suspects were involved in a recent spate of cross-border kidnappings.

Meanwhile, Bads Adjam, a suspect in the kidnapping on Sipadan Island in 2000, was collared at around 4 p.m. in Barangay Sta. Maria.
