LIVE list: Class suspensions for July 8

MANILA, Philippines - As Typhoon Butchoy moves away from the Philippine area of responsibility, the Department of Education and some local government units canceled classes for July 8, Friday due to the threat posed by heavy rains.

The typhoon continues to enhance southwest monsoon or "habagat," causing torrential heavy rains to different areas in Luzon.
