Top Ilocos Norte drug suspect shot dead in Paoay

LAOAG CITY, Philippines - An unidentified gunman shot dead a suspected drug trafficker in Paoay town in Ilocos Norte on Wednesday evening.
 
Police identified the victim as Raymund Weil Pobre, 35, a resident of Barangay Dolores.
 
Pobre was at the top of the town's drug watchlist and eighth at the provincial level, police said.
 
Initial investigation showed that the victim went outside his house to check on his fighting cocks when he was shot by the gunman. 
 
Police said the gunman immediately fled the crime scene in a black sedan.
 
Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered seven cartridges and a deformed cal.-5.56 slug.
