Quake rocks Northern Luzon
MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude-4.2 earthquake shook parts of Northern Luzon yesterday morning, state seismologists said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake occurred at 10:49 a.m.
Its epicenter was located some 51 kilometers northwest of Claveria town in Cagayan.
The quake was felt at Intensity 2 in Claveria and in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte. Intensity 1 was felt in Sinait, Ilocos Sur.
No damage to property was reported in the quake.
Seismologists said the tremor was not expected to generate aftershocks.
