Mild quake rocks Surigao

MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Surigao del Norte yesterday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs said the epicenter of the quake, which occurred at 10:02 a.m., was located at 119 kilometers southeast of Marihatag, Surigao del Sur.
No damage or aftershocks were expected from the quake.
