Mild quakes hit Luzon
MANILA, Philippines – Four mild earthquakes rocked some parts of Luzon yesterday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
State seismologists said the first quake, measuring magnitude-2.3, occurred shortly past midnight in Lobo, Batangas.
The second quake, a magnitude-2.6, was recorded at 3:57 a.m. in Bolinao, Pangasinan.
Phivolcs said another magnitude-2.7 occurred at 6:11 a.m. in Laoag, Ilocos Norte.
An hour later, a magnitude-2.9 tremor was recorded 15 kilometers northeast of Calayan, Cagayan.
