Power outage to hit Isabela, Ifugao

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Residents of Cauayan City and the towns of Alicia, and Cabatuan in Isabela as well as Alfonso Lista in Ifugao will experience a nine-hour power interruption.

Lilibeth Gaydowen, spokesperson for the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) in North Luzon, said the substations in Ifugao and Isabela would be upgraded during the 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. blackout.

Last month, the NGCP activated its new 100-megavolt ampere transformer at the Tuguegarao City substation to accommodate additional power demand from the business community.
