12-hour power outage to hit Pampanga

MABALACAT, Pampanga, Philippines – Parts of Pampanga will experience a 12-hour power interruption on Sunday.

The 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. blackout will affect the areas being serviced by the Pampanga Electric Cooperative 1 and 2 and Pampanga Rural Electric Cooperative Inc., the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) said yesterday.

The towns of Arayat, Candaba, Mexico, Sta. Ana, Magalang, San Luis, Guagua, Lubao, Porac, Sta. Rita, Sasmuan and Bacolor as well as Mabalacat City will be affected by the power outage.

The NGCP said maintenance works at the Mexico substation and Mexico-Clark 1 and 2 transmission lines would be conducted during the power interruption.
