Man hacks ma, grandma dead

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A Filipino-Japanese, said to be a drug dependent, allegedly hacked his mother and grandmother dead in San Isidro, Isabela yesterday morning.

Seiitchi San Koike, 23, has reportedly been beating up his mother Betty Tobias, 47, and grandmother Maxima, 77.

Case investigator Police Officer 2 Jerry Santiago said Koike used a scythe to kill the victims at around 4:30 a.m. at their home in Barangay Cebu.

Police launched a manhunt for the suspect, who fled after the killing.
