Blackout to hit Nueva Ecija

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines – Several villages in Caranglan and Pantabangan towns in Nueva Ecija will experience a power interruption today. 

Ernest Vidal, National Grid Corp. of the Philippines-Central Luzon corporate communication and public affairs officer, said the blackout is from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Vidal said the power outage would pave the way for the annual preventive maintenance and testing of a transformer and replacement of a circuit recloser at the Pantabangan load-end substation. 

He said the barangays to be affected by the blackout would depend on the distribution utility.
