9 Caraga cops dismissed for drug use

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – Nine members of the Caraga Region police have been dismissed from the service for illegal drug use.

Police Officers 1 Pierre Monaiz, Rolando Elcullada, Richelle Escanan, Al Mellorin, Lawrence Patenio, Johnny Sullano and Norman Wilfredo Labampa and PO2 Evenezer Cajenta and Sotico Tecson tested positive for illegal drugs, Police Regional Office-13 information officer Superintendent Martin Gamba told The STAR.

Gamba said summary dismissal proceedings against the police officers were conducted by members of the Regional Personnel Holding Administration Unit at Camp Rafael Rodriguez in Butuan City.
