Toddler dies in Quezon fire

QUEZON, Philippines  – A two-year-old baby girl died in a fire that gutted their house in Quezon town in this province on Sunday.

Fiona Remoroza was asleep when the fire broke out at their home in Barangay Mascariña at past 8 a.m., according to town police chief Senior Inspector Eric Veluz.

The girl’s mother reportedly went out for an errand and left a stove in the kitchen unattended.

Village officer Helen Fulledo called for help, but failed to save the victim.
