128 hospitalized after eating noodles

SOUTH COTABATO, Philippines  – At least 128 people were hospitalized after eating rice noodles in the town of Lake Sebu in this province on Sunday.

The victims reportedly attended a gathering hosted by a local religious organization in Barangay Takunel.

The dish was reportedly served during the event.

Mayor Antonio Fungan told journalists the victims complained of abdominal pains and dizziness after eating.

Some of the victims reportedly vomited and fainted.

A local radio station reported that most of the victims were minors.
