Rhodina Villanueva - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A business school to help farmers enhanced their entrepreneurial skills has been put up by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in.

The Farm Business School (FBS) in Barangay San Antonio in Ocampo town will benefit farmer-beneficiaries in the area, according to provincial agrarian reform program officer Maria Gracia Sales.

The school is expected to help farming families get access to new markets and respond to changing market demands.

“Thirty-five farmers who are members of the Ayugan San Antonio Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Barangay San Antonio, will undergo a 25-day training on business,” Sales said.

She said the training would help participants develop their capacity in running a farm business and be profitable.

The FBS is a collaboration of the DAR, the Department of Agriculture, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and the local government.
