Woman found floating in Laguna river

LAGUNA, Philippines  – An employee of an industrial company who was reported missing on Sunday was found floating in a river in Sta. Rosa in this province yesterday morning.

The body of Mary Grace Camangon, 19, was recovered from the Salambago River in Barangay Tagapo at past 9 a.m., according to Inspector Roselle Orate, spokesperson for the Laguna police.

Camangon, who was reported missing by her mother, was wearing only a pair of short pants when found.

Investigators said the victim failed to return home from work on that day, prompting her mother to report the matter to their village hall.

Police have yet to determine the cause of Camangon’s death.
