Tractor hits bus in Quezon; 1 dead, 2 hurt

TAGKAWAYAN, Quezon, Philippines – A bus driver and two passengers were injured in an accident in Barangay Tabason here yesterday.

An AB Liner bus (EBX-03) that was parked on the road after it encountered mechanical problem was hit by a tractor (AWA-446) driven by Mario Balote, 36, at 5:30 a.m., said Senior Superintendent Ronaldo Ylagan, Quezon police director.

Ylagan said Allan Fruto, 40, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Ma. Lourdes Eleazar Memorial District Hospital, where bus conductor Michael Eligarco, 31, and Albert Ruaring, 23, were also brought for treatment.
