Cop dies of heart attack in drug sting

MEXICO, Pampanga, Philippines – A policeman died of a heart attack when a suspect resisted arrest in a drug sting in Barangay Pandakaki here on Tuesday.

Investigation showed that Police Officer 2 Allain Lapena, 27, a resident of Bulacan suffered a heart attack when Bernard Dulo, 33, attacked him.

Lapena was pronounced dead on arrival at the Balitucan Hospital in Magalang town.

“He died in the line of duty,” said a notice of condolence sent by Mexico police to Lapena’s family.
