2 girls killed in Kalinga robbery

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Two siblings were killed, with one of them beheaded, during a robbery at their house in Barangay Santor in Rizal, Kalinga on Tuesday.

The bodies of  Karen Joy, 13, and Melissa, 8, were discovered by their parents who arrived before noon, a report received by Rizal police chief Senior Inspector Elmo Aspilan showed.

Investigators said the couple had left the house to report the loss of an undetermined amount of money from their sale of palay.
