Actor Matt Evans figures in La Union road mishap

MANILA, Philippines - Actor Matt Evans figured in an accident in La Union early Wednesday morning, causing injury to a motorcycle rider.

A radio report said that Evans, a talent of network giant ABS-CBN, was cruising on board his vehicle along a national highway in Barangay Bangcusay, San Juan town in La Union around 1:40 a.m. when he accidentally hit motorcycle rider, Froilan Carino.

Evans claimed he did not notice he already hit Carino. Another motorist following his vehicle only flagged him down and informed him that he had collided with the motorcycle rider, reports added. 

Carino, 30, is now recuperating from injuries at the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center in San Fernando, La Union.

 Police are still looking into the incident.
